Our Vision

We exist so that this mountain may KNOW Jesus, and the reality of His love!

God gave us a Caleb vision (Joshua 14:6-14) to take this mountain for His glory! Everything that we do is motivated by this vision! To see Boone and the surrounding high country changed by the love of Jesus, and then to sow seeds from this mountain into the rest of the world (Harvest Equippers)!

How We Do That

We believe that this vision will become reality three ways: by KNOWING, by LOVING, and by GOING. In order to become lovers of Jesus, who share His heart, and change this mountain, we must first KNOW Him, what He is like, and what He has revealed to us about the Father’s heart. Jesus said that His disciples will be known by how they LOVE one another. We cannot be truly effective for Him, until we learn to walk in LOVE: LOVE for Jesus, LOVE for each other, and LOVE for our community. Jesus told us to GO into all the world and make disciples. We want to become seeds that Jesus can send into our community and the world to bear fruit for His glory.

Values

Mission-mindedness

Jesus said that He would leave the 99 to find the 1 (Matthew 18:12). We want to be the church that follows Jesus in this mission. We want to see the lost come to know Jesus and His love. We believe this happens by inviting the un-churched, participating in outreaches in our area, and by simply choosing to love those who don’t yet know the love of Christ.

Community

We put strong emphasis on community and covenant relationships. We believe that this community expresses itself most effectively through life groups (small group ministry), and we are committed to seeing true discipleship happen in this context.

Commitment

We believe in commitment at Living Water. We believe in commitment to God’s word, and what it tells us to do. We believe in commitment to one another. We believe in commitment to the mission that God has called us to. We believe in commitment to finishing what we start.

Unity

We believe in protecting our unity by honoring one another, honoring church leadership, and by refusing to partake in gossip or slander.

Creativity

We believe that the church should be the leading creative force in the earth. We believe that God wants to transform culture through the redemption of the creative and performing arts. We believe in creating a culture where creativity can grow and be expressed for the glory of God!

Tithing and Generosity

We believe that God’s people should be known for their generosity. Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Luke 12:34). Its not about the money, its about the heart, and Jesus said that the two were inextricably linked. We believe that God pours out blessing on our lives, so that we may be a blessing to others, and see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

Ownership

We believe in taking spiritual responsibility for the city God has placed us in. We believe in taking ownership of the vision God has placed on our church.

Empowerment

We believe in empowering the body to do the work of the ministry. We believe in empowering and equipping believers to recognize the dreams and callings on their lives, and to see those dreams realized for the glory of God! (2 Timothy 1:6)
